A self-proclaimed perfectionist, Zoraida found her niche in the beauty industry. With a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Costume Design and Stage Makeup from the University at Albany, she has developed a great eye for details. Zoraida has had the opportunity to illustrate her creative talents with the Tony Award winning Utah Shakespearean Festival. Always looking to quench her thirst for knowledge, Zoraida enrolled at the Make-Up Designory in Manhattan. Here she refined her makeup skills for film, television, and photography.
Knowing there was more to beauty than just makeup; Zoraida sought out work with companies that catered to beauty on all levels. Working for Estee Lauder and Sephora had opened up a new world of techniques and product knowledge. Always wanting to keep her finger on the pulse of what was new and innovative, she dedicated a lot of her down time to researching and testing products. Knowing how and if something worked was crucial to keep a great relationship with her clients.
With her background in theatre productions and her talent to make those around her look picture perfect, her work graced its way onto the red carpets of the Academy Awards, the Latin Grammys and movie premieres. As exciting as fashion runway show and magazine shoots were, nothing was more fulfilling than transforming a woman on her most special day. The wedding industry was an easy transition. What’s more of a show than a wedding? Knowing she had a hand in helping someone look and feel her most beautiful was immensely rewarding to her.
Zoraida’s calm and sweet nature assures those who sit in her chair are in the most capable hands. With over ten years in the industry, Zoraida knows things are ever changing and you can always learn something new. She continues to educate herself on the newest trends and techniques in the makeup industry. Zoraida is never afraid of a challenge and her internal drive to be the best at what she does ensures that she consistently pushes herself to grow and expand upon her skillset.
